Typing this from the comfort of our 600sqft home in New York after a fast and furious and full summer in LA. How in the world the entire summer has already come and gone is beyond me. Spending the summer on the west coast was so good for the soul, and a break from the pace of New York was just what we all needed (especially the beach days!). We loved getting a taste of LA life, from the food to the people to the overall culture of the city. it treated us well. love you, LA.

At the same time, I couldn’t be more excited to be back in nyc — it has my heart and I am giddy thinking about fall in the city. We’re getting ready to throw ourselves into some good old fashioned routine after a summer of flying by the seat of our pants every day. I’m already itching to redecorate the apartment (much to Michael’s chagrin because this means he has to do all the heavy lifting for me 😂), cooking cozy meals at home, getting organized for homeschooling the girls this fall. We’ve already been to our favorite coffee shop, to the flower market, and have remembered how much we love walking everywhere. You also better believe that I’m seriously dreaming about fall over here and I couldn’t be happier that it’s just around the corner. We’re exhaling and settling in, finding rest in the familiar after a whirlwind summer. New York makes my heart sing, and i’m so glad to be home. x
