I blinked…

…and somehow it’s practically December??? October was a whirlwind — anniversary, Georgie’s birthday (which got rescheduled twice due to the plague of the weekend rain in NYC), enjoyed the turning of the leaves, enjoyed a visit from my sister and brother in law, went trick or treating, etc. etc. November is somehow already almost over and I have no idea what we spent it doing to be honest, ha! Mom brain took over November, I suppose. My in-laws came to visit, we went to the playground a lot and tried to soak up the leaves and overall beauty that is November in New York. We had a low-key Thanksgiving — spent it just the five of us, went to the Macy’s parade, made a last minute call to go out to dinner instead of cook which was honestly the best decision we could’ve made for ourselves this year. A post-turkey nap without the looming cloud of kitchen cleanup?? An early Christmas gift, if you ask me. We all got a bit sick and are finally on the upswing. We decorated our apartment for Christmas. We now drink hot chocolate daily.

It’s really starting to get cold here, the leaves are starting to fall off the trees, and I can feel myself wanting to stay home and hibernate and cook and play with the girls (as I always do this time of year). I’m such a homebody and I honestly love the excuse of frigid weather to stay home majority of the time. Anyone else?

I did a bit of Black Friday shopping and rounded up those picks here and here if you fancy a look. I’ve also shared some gift guides with some fun picks if you’re needing some inspiration!

Things I’m loving right now:

This recipe. Our all-time favorite.

In love with these, contemplating getting them for the girls for Christmas.

Some very good pants and a very good price. I sized up one size.

watching The Barefoot Contessa. My feel-good show at the moment.

Pinning inspiration for the girls’ room — working on the final touches after weeks of zhuzhing.

The word “zhuzhing.”

The chocolate chip cookies from Orowashers.

Making lattes at home thanks to this (which I now consider to be a member of the family.)
