Tiny Kitchen Musings with Evermill

one of the things we've missed most throughout the transition between california and new york the past few weeks has been cooking. not only the just act of cooking, but sharing in life in the kitchen together as a family. some of our fondest family memories so far are spending time in the kitchen together, one of us prepping/cooking a nourishing meal for us to share. no matter how simple the meal may be, the act of spending this time in the kitchen together feels sacred. special things happen around the table, around food, in the process of it all coming together. as we've been living out of boxes, staying in hotels, and grabbing take-out while unpacking upon our arrival here in nyc, cooking has been basically impossible. to say that we're grateful to be settled enough to start cooking again is quite the understatement!

i spent a lot of time dreaming about/planning every detail of our (very) small kitchen that I could upon moving in, and knew that an evermill spice rack had to be a part of it. not only are the spices high quality, but it's incredibly functional, sustainable, and not to mention downright beautiful to look at. i was especially excited about the option to mount it on the wall, since we have next-to-no counter/cabinet space!

there's something about this spice rack that makes our little kitchen feel incredibly special. it might seem like a small thing, but i really think thoughtful details like this can make the heart of even a tiny "home" that much sweeter.
